Accessibility statement
We want the studio to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement sets out what we have done, what is still missing, and how to contact us about accessibility.
This is a draft. Before the service opens to the public, the statement will get a legal review and a professional accessibility audit, and it will be updated to match.
Accessibility level
We are working to meet the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013, and Israeli Standard IS 5568 at level AA.
The Israeli standard is based on the WCAG guidelines. We work to WCAG 2.2 at level AA, the current version, which also covers the requirements of the earlier versions.
Current status: the site is partly accessible. We have not run a full accessibility audit yet, and the gaps we know about are listed below.
What we have done
- Every page declares its language and writing direction, so screen readers use the right voice and reading order.
- The layout follows the writing direction: right to left in Hebrew, left to right in English.
- English terms, model names, numbers and sizes inside Hebrew text keep their order and do not run into the text around them.
- Prompt fields detect whether you are writing in Hebrew or English, and align the text to match.
- In the full-screen image viewer, the arrow keys move between images in the reading direction.
- Error messages use plain, consistent wording, never technical codes or raw text from a provider.
- The whole interface is also available in English.
- We do not use an accessibility overlay. We make the adjustments in the site’s own code.
Known gaps
These are the gaps we know about and are working to fix. Until they are fixed, contact us and we will help you use the service another way.
- Editing on a canvas (in Layers Studio and the drawing tool) needs a mouse or a touch screen. There is no full keyboard or screen-reader alternative yet.
- The video and audio players, the timeline and the trim handles have not been checked for full keyboard use.
- Some pop-up windows, such as Settings, are not yet announced to screen readers as dialogs, and focus does not move into them automatically.
- The keyboard focus indicator is not clearly visible on every control.
- Some secondary text and some buttons do not meet the minimum contrast ratio yet.
- Video and preset previews play automatically, cannot be paused yet, and ignore the system’s reduced-motion setting.
- Generated and uploaded images and videos have no text alternative yet, and there is no field to add one.
- Generated videos have no captions, and there is no tool to add them yet.
Browsers and assistive technology
The site is designed for current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, on computers and phones.
Before launch we will test it with the NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android, and at 200% zoom. These tests have not been done yet.
